I've been psychologically paralysed. Recently, I've been obsessing over writing the perfect article and finding the perfect dissertation topic, I simply can't write anything else. So I've decided to blog as a way out for me to get this rish-rash out of my mind. Yes, rish-rash is not a word. One day it will be.

The words in my head now are: Citizenship, youth, philosophical debates, psychology, agency and determinism.

If only there were an idea-cooker, when I add those ingredients it'll help me pop something out marvelous and tasty - not.

I think the pressure of grad school is getting to me in a way because everyone here is good, and there's the need to do research that is "cutting-edge" have ideas that are "critical" and theses that are "avant-garde". The emphasis on new is simply too over-whelming. Now, perhaps I should focus on what is important. I should not focus on looking for the new, but instead, look at what is important in life.

Hence, I decided to turn to social justice, youth, and the idea of agency in space. Let's hope this bodes well.
