Claud
An avid collector of your hopes and worries, a romantic at heart.
She thanks her fairies, for blessing her with people who know compassion down to an art.
For accepting her for who she is, who never fails to turn up,
in times of need as well as happiness, or just there for a loving hug.

Strength in words
I was reading a book or an article one day, I can't remember which, and this quote jumped right out at me.
"If you don't do it, someone else will."
It seemed pretty harsh and direct at that time, eventually this quote quickly receded into memory.
Yet every time when someone lets me down emotionally, I always hear these words again - in an slightly altered form.
"If you don't bother showing your concern, someone else will."
Doesn't it seem ruthless that everyone is replaceable? If I meant that much to you, then you would have showed your concern when I needed you most. If you don't show your concern, it simply meant that I don't mean that much to you in the first place. Someone else who cares about me more than you, will come along and make me feel better.
It's meant to be a reminder to not take someone for granted. It is often easy to assume that they'll always understand and forgive. The point is not to seek for their forgiveness in the first place, but to earn it. Earning it means to show in all sincerity, how much that person means to you doesn't it?
I seek strength in reminding myself that I am worthy of greater love, and my friends have definitely showed me the love that I deserve (or sometimes more than deserve).
