about 40 hours of non-stop fun
They say study hard, play hard. It should have been study hard, player harder-er. At the time of blogging, I have officially been awake for more than 40 hours. Yes, bad for the liver, but who cares when it's about spending time with people you enjoy company with!
So wednesday morning was spent cramming for Geographies of Development and The Service Economy. It was a 1-3pm and 5-7pm back to back paper which was deemed rightfully as 'disgusting'. At the end of Development paper, I was already in partying mood and beyond caring for Service Economy. It's not that Service economy wasn't enjoyable, in fact, far from it. However, the restlessness to just PLAY just made me leave the exam venue 20mins ahead of time, even though I had to wait for Karl, I rather do it OUTSIDE of the exam venue than INSIDE of it.
Then at 7pm, it was finally all over. This sem has been the hardest yet - both academically and personally. So much doubts, so much questions and I still haven't had them resolved. However I hold faith that in time, it will be okay =)
So dinner with Karl at the food court underneath Concorde Hotel (who knew?!) that sells quite nice authentic korean food. It's really good for the price that we pay ^^…then later headed to orchard central to browse through the knick-knacks of shops that I love…saw a music box that uses the perforated holes in a paper to play the music. So you just feed "strips of music scores" into the box, turn the handle, and it plays the tunes on it. Such a darling~ (It costs $60+? Zzzz…..)
Since there was still time before meeting the rest for l4d2, we decided to go to Medtz to drink beer~ They have the 1-1 promotion, which was awesome because now 2 ciders just costs $6 each! So worth it right? =D They have quite a decent collection and the atmosphere is great. We both like to sit at the bar and it just felt good to talk.
Drinking and talking over a bar is increasingly becoming a favourite past time of mine.
So later it was l4d2 with Vic, Herman, Weijun and Karl for 4 hours straight. Half the time I think Karl was damn pek chek with me cuz I never turn behind and save him =X Paiseh ah!
After gaming, we walked to this 24 hour prata place to have supper and were thinking about how to get home. Since it was already 4:30am, Karl was suggesting that we buy poker cards and just play and wait until the first train home. So we played the night away and before we knew it, it was already 7am! (We parked at SMU to play) HAHAHA…playing bridge is awesome and I think in my non-lucid mind, I keep exposing who are the 'partners' until Karl was like *tsk-ing me. Heehee~
So after coming home shortly to catch an hour nap, headed off to meet Vic, Joe and Zach first for Joe's farewell food tour of Singapore. Although it wasn't a complete tour, but we basically tried the food he hasn't and I think he liked the Killiney Kaya the best! Muahaha! Hainanese Kaya rocks man! So after that I went back earlier to meet Xinyi for dinner and some HTHT…I guess we both needed each other. Sorry darl, I couldn't stay longer. I think the lack of sleep made me very bad company…feeling very distracted the later part of the evening.
Hence, while waiting for my long glamourous tresses to dry, I decided to blog before my eyelids shut. It's seems that Wednesday and Thurs just melded together. And tomorrow I'm meeting Karl (again) for the Musee D'Orsay exhibition! Can't wait! *Excited
