So much power, what's the point?
I am so anal when it comes to presentations thanks to Kristelle Lee Ting (i know how much u hate ppl saying ur full name so I'll just do it because it's my blog and that, I can. MUAHAHA!). LOL…still remember our project group work and we spent like almost half the time making our formatting impeccable so that it also looks aethetically pleasing.
FYI that attention to aesthetic detail didn't quite wear off and if anything, it escalated. Still amazed how the little things can influence you so much and I'll forever be grateful that my 'asthetic' sense in powerpoint is 'awakened' by Ms Lee. HAHA!
Now with technology, especially iWork's Keynote (seriously everyone should use this), I cannot help but think how some people are way ahead of their time in terms of ideas. Like in the past I never considered ppt presentation to be about presentation as much as the content itself. =)
Speaking of powerpoint presentation, I remembered in Geography, Dr. Chang said a prof from another department once said to him, "I never use powerpoint. So much power, but what's the point?" OMG…epic no? Then after taking lessons under Dr. Gana, the hardcore user of the old-school OHP but nevertheless an incredibly effective lecturer, I'm starting to suspect that this quotable quote came from him.
So many ways to present information and every day, the list just gets longer. Prezi, Google, Keynote, Powerpoint etc. etc. Doing up presentations has always been my favourite kind of project and giving presentations feels like a performance =)
Partly the reason why I enjoy lecturing so much….
