So far, I haven't had time to blog about my experience in Europe. Partly because I've been going out late and haven't had time to blog, plus the fact that it's hard to blog about experiences.

I don't know what to say about London, except that you need to be here to experience it. It's definitely not safe, but it's also exciting. A too safe city doesn't become exciting because there's no sense of the unknown. You actually do understand what the term "suspicious" people come from, however it's not a problem if you know what to do and how to react. Like shangyi said, "act blur" is good.

I feel ill-fitted with this travelling trio. Partly because I don't always share the same interests, and I don't share all the same history. However, it's not necessarily a bad thing....travelling in silence is a good thing sometimes. It gives you time to contemplate and think about your own life so far. It's a hard thing to put on myself, but I find it hard to break out of this, to let loose. But every time I do that, people just don't get high together with me - then I feel outcasted.

We shall see? In any case, London and Lisbon has been good so far. Lisbon looks better in pictures, and London looks better in real life. I REALLY like London. It has no pretenses: people are frank and straightforward, some might find it rude. I learnt that we don't need pretty bus stops to survive, we don't need a very beautiful airport to survive. I learnt that we don't need a lot of the things we have in Singapore to be happy.


There are things beyond the material life, beyond shopping all the time to enjoy life. I like life that is served up straight to me without frills or fringes. =)

Will be heading to Barcelona next! Hope we don't get pickpocketed and or mugged. =X
