Life's little treasures

My father, can some times irritate the hell out of me, and sometimes make me feel like a princess. Since I started playing tennis, he has been buying my Lacoste shirts and shorts like no tomorrow. I have now grown up and have my own taste in clothes, my mother and I often have to kindly remind him that I don't necessarily share his fanaticism with Lacoste. Perhaps as a father, he would have wanted to buy something for me, to remind me that he still loves me. So what did a good father do?

Improvise.

He claims that this wallet was on offer during the GSS, and it was 20% off. So he bought it for me. I was so happy because 1) for once, it's not an ugly shirt and 2) my father is finally listening.

So this clutch/wallet, is more than what I can ask for.

Another life's little treasure, is having awesome ice-cream, sitting in a parlour with no one but good company, and knowing that you have all the time in the world. Every moment I was there, I knew it was not going to last, once we all 'grow up' and have less time (or mood) for such things.

Like the link in Kristelle's blog: "I wish I didn't work so hard." - So from time to time, I won't!

So last Friday, 222 celebrated Vann's birthday at Crystal Jade Xiao Long Bao and Steamboat at Holland V. The steamboat is awesome and the price is actually quite reasonable. $27 per person with good selections and awesome service. In any case, Nat came to the table Hungry (it deserves capital letters) so much that the whole table was waiting for the soup to boil.

Sorry, found the above picture to be too cute for words. In any case…van's got her present, and frankly, I was filled to the brim with laughter. I think we couldn't speak 3 sentences without bursting out in laughter of some kind - especially with Nat, Xj and ADG around. LOL…the 3 make the combination very volatile and susceptible to endless bouts of "omg don't make me laugh I'm going to choke".

Can't get enough of 222, they are my drug for life <3

On a entirely narcissistic note, I think my hair looks awesome. haha!

Tonight is YJ 25th Anniversary Dinner at Shangri-la. Finally, our cheapo school is going to a high class place. I suppose going with good company is actually the draw…waiting for a night of laughter with Xinglin, Guan yu, Qabir and Slyves! <3 the YJ Winds Alumni….

This month of June, has been one of much relaxation….I almost could feel my soul recovering from the burn out I experienced in Yr 3 sem 2….=D

We all need life's little treasures to remind us how much we've missed out while working too hard. I'll remind myself to take a mental break now and then!
