Holiday Week

Hello....been ages since i've blogged.

So here's the summary of my week...i don't know if i got the dates correct. But the sequence is definitely right. HAHA...but anyways, this is the way i want to remember it =X

13th Dec

Chris smsed me for impromptu breakfast at 9am. In a span of 20mins, i rescheduled my tuition, brushed my teeth, got dressed, called my dad to NOT buy breakfast for me and got out the door. Reach northpoint at 10am sharp. HAHA...sometimes i amaze me.

We were joking how we never met for breakfast because he can never wake up in time for it. HAHA...so fun =)

14th Dec

Chris called me for impromptu lunner/dunch. I woke up at 11pm. Read dresden files all the way to 3pm and had my meal with chris at Breeks <3

HAHA...i think staying close to each other helps. Like how Nat stays next corner and vonk is always an 811 away...i like that feeling.

Got back home to write. I need to start on that novella already. Gotta stop procrastinating.

15th-16th Dec

A combination of WGM-ing, writing and serious slacking (which means moving my spine from the sofa to the bed and back again).

17th Dec

Nic told me she was studying at National Library and I decided to join her...HAHA...i got chided by her because i'm having my holidays right now and it's like i'm in a library studying.

Actually, at that point of time, i didn't want to tell her that i'm writing a poem for Christmas and the novella...they were supposed to be gifts this year. But i couldn't finish the novella in time...not that i can't write fast enough, but the plot's stuck at half-time. =(

18th Dec

Met Nat at 7pm ish to get the beach mat...she was so kind to also provide me the beach bag and a plastic bag for me to hold =)

Then later Pinhao came at 7:30-40....we chatted over Soup Spoon about his life in poly and rode back the MRT together...seems like a long time since we've talked...HAHA, felt old.

19th Dec

Xuan called Ken and I out to watch her church's drama production. Hahaha, it felt awkward since i haven't gone to a church for a long time. Then after the service, saying hi and bye to alot of xuan's friends, we left for art friend to find Ken's red santa bag. Which is strange because usually they have it, but this year they failed to bring in.

So i suggested to get red crepe paper. Ken was confused for a minute because i said "crepe paper" and he tot it was "crap paper" (crap = shitty). The later on hindsight, i realised it could have meant to be "crap paper" as in toilet paper (crap = shit). HAHA. ok random. moving on.

later we went to taka basement to get donuts because xuan was having craving for something sweet...which later grew to something salty. hahaha, that girl can eat!

we then walked to ion orchard basement 2 to get the takopachi that nat recommended to me that time. ken left for his family christmas gathering while i ate my dinner/snack/supper with xuan. we talked and found out each other more about each other's beliefs. HAHA...refreshing because i never talked these kind of things before except with chris.

20th Dec

222 picnic! Long awaited gathering...nat couldn't turn up because of a friend's 21st bday gathering...(we understand girl!) So woke up at 7am to make sandwiches. I boiled the eggs and sliced the mushrooms the day before. So all i had to do was to mix it with mayo, sautee the mushrooms and toast the bread. Then i had this hare-brained idea of 'toasting' the bread on the pan, which burnt it instead. =.=

Dragged Ritty down to palawan beach with me so he can jaga my stuff while i run around the beach-plan-write-plant-check the clues. I had to double back alot of times because i cannot get the clues straight. Like at check pt 2, i wrote checkpt 2's clue. So obviously later the others can't find clue 2 using clue 1 right? Had to switched envelopes etc.....

HAHA...then later the folks came and i made them guess where we are. Ritty was supposed to be at Coffee Bean and XY's and Vann's clue was "The Frog said: Coffee, Tea or Me?" and Kris/XJ/JL's clue were "After Siloso is _____?"

the treasure hunt was quite tensed...HAHA, they kept calling me for extra clues...i almost wanted to tell them "aiyah, the answer is this _____" wasn't really what i expected. need to do better next time. HAHA...van and kris said my clues were too hard. Hey, maybe you should try to set them and i solve?

The guys were amazing...HAHA, they can like find every checkpoint in like minutes leh...almost died soaked in sympathy for the girls. I really tried my best to level both teams until they were at the 4th stage. HAHAHAHA....even that, they guys could guess what i meant by "Eden", i quickly diverted their attention to somewhere to give the girls more time....lol, paiseh arh!

reminded me of my treasure hunt days in PHS...the most difficult treasure hunt i had was there. The end point was to find a bonsai-looking tree. FYI: the tree that was like a bonsai was like not a bonsai.

So to cut the long story short. They wanted to throw the game master (that's me) into the sea...HAHA,but i guess the oncoming rain and thunder, plus the lack of my spare clothes saved me...or i'll be drinking salt water in minutes.

Felt bad for Beryl who just arrived with the most delicious jelly drink and had to leave just minutes after because of the oncoming rain. went to vivo to chill (literally i think). The folks wanted starbucks and we lom-chiam-pass to choose who go. So vann and me kenna...hahaha, i don't mind la, since i kinda felt sorry for the lousy picnic =\

In any case....kris and xj were over the psp, jl was crazy over the korean songs, ritty and beryl was over at the boat cum bookshop thingy...while xy, van and i just nua-ed.

Yup...so later van, xy, ritty, beryl and i left together while xj, jl and kris went to get a gift for xj's girlfriend..=)

21st Dec

Recovering from the after-effects of the picnic. Didn't realise i twisted my ankle when running on the sand the day before...nothing serious...just hurts like a bitch.

22nd Dec

Woke up at 9am to dress and meet chris at kranji MRT...we are going tooooooo

JOHOR!

HAHAHA...major shopping trip yo!

In the morning i tried in vain to check my sem results...thanks to the 382938419372293712 people who are also checking at the same time.

In any case, i smsed NUS later before entering the Woodlands Checkpoint. And got a reply after i exited the JB checkpoint. ANNNNDDD...*drumroll*

I got: 3 A-, 2 A!!!! CAP: 4!WAH...i can't tell you how happy i am =D...on my way to becoming an academic!

HAHAHA...so that started my shopping spree for the day....my dad gave me 500 ringgit to splurge. I knew i'll spend on impulse given that i'm so high, i entrusted RM100 to Chris so that i have something back for my dad.

Saw a pair of shoes that i really like a lot but have little occassion to wear. It was really nice in a lady gaga kind of way. But what am i gonna do with 4 inch heels that can barely walk in? So instead, got a 2 inch pair that is comfy. Lao gong picked it out for me...HAHA...gotta wear it next time i meet him...

So i bought a long sleeve cropped jacket i always wanted, a pretty blue dress, a pair of shoes, Face Shop face Masks for less than the price in SG, 4 pairs of panties (hey, they're important too) and a white tube. Treated Lao Gong to Baskin Robbins 31 fondue and ate Seoul Garden.

It's amazing, it's JB right? But they accepted my NUS card for the student's meal leh!

So therein ends the wonderful day of shopping =) New clothes for school next year!

23rd Dec

Went swimming in the evening as a sort of last minute decision. Couldn't stand the fats jiggling anymore so had to burn some. met chris for dinner after my swim and we went to eat at BBQ Chicken northpoint basement. later went to get darren's and nic's present.

I think i was being such a whiny bitch that day. Because Chris already wanted to give me face mask from face shop...but given how much masks i already have at home...i kinda threw a 'tantrum' and wanted a different gift...so we went m)phosis to check our accessories for my new dress, but to no avail. so eventually, we went back to faceshop to get nail colors....he picked 2, i picked one and we left as happy campers =)

24th Dec

Met Darren, Nic and Chris at Timbre for pizza and drinks....first time i drank so much...so high even before the alcohol...HAHA

But before that, Chris came over to my place to help me prepare aka. curl my hair. HAHAHA, all of us made a promise to doll up for this meeting...NIC WAS SO PRETTY! In any case, my dad came home early because he had half-day off...started cleaning the house while mumbling at how long i take to dress la, put make up la...then started to throw a challenge at me that he can bathe faster than i put make up. what he didn't know was that i was already 80% done. We were done at the same time....LOL!

So headed off to Timbre and waited for Nic at Raffles Place MRT, settled in with Darren grumbling at the fan blowing off his hairstyle....ordered lychee martini for myself and Nic...tasted nice! =) i'm starting to have an acquired taste for Heineken Beer...it's not too bad

The Roasted Duck Pizza rocks! Hahaha...we exchanged gifts, which *coughdarrencough* didn't bring...he was so apologetic about it la....i assured him that it's all right...darren and i still bicker. some things never change.

I love nic's gift...it's a necklace of a girl and it's just the thing i need for my accessories collection! Thanks girl!

so nic and darren had to leave early...the plan originally was that Chris's sister to come meet us at Timbre with her boyfriend. But they both decided not to come and so we left the place....started to take a few beautiful pictures..bitched about my lousy camera skills and chris's lousy camera (because it was low battery-ing). had loads of fun and thanked each other for the wonderful day =)

25th Dec

at 1200, wished 49 people Merry Christmas...=)

from 1200-0400: read Turn Coat...couldn't. put. book. down. Urgh.

Slept until 1:30pm. My dad called me to check what i wanted for lunch and scolded me for being still in bed.

Nuahed in front of the comp watching WGM. Visited my mum...then later went to eat dinner with dad...HAHA, my father super funny. he watching soccer and chinese drama at the same time....a man can multi-task people. they can if they want to.

Hahaha...i can't wait for the outing with Nat and the girls...(which is when??)

Of course, there's a new year surprise for my lovely babes...

28th's with aunty kuan and vonk to see my mum and dinner after....men not included...HAHAHAHA (tts what' she wrote when she smsed me!)

Haziq's yet to get back on me for the dates for the Egyptian Exhibition....Meet up with Char and Cindy to Chinatown still not in place...Sokying too!
