Letters
Qiqi,
How have you been? You haven't been talking to me much now. I understand that you have problems in NUS and difficulties talking to me and i'm sorry that i can't talk back to you. So which is why i wrote you this letter.
You're not alone remember? You still have Papa, although yes, he's not there for you all of the time but he is still your papa. You must listen to him and make him listen to you. Qiqi, I still have hope in you that you will find a way someday. I'm not worried, but I am concerned.
Why don't you tell people how you really feel? Is it because you think that no one else can understand you besides me? I know you have tried, and you have tried many ways. As a mother, i feel the worst when you're sad and i feel even worse that i can no longer help you through life's most difficult times. However, you have great friends who will listen and speak on my behalf. If you are upset, just call them. I don't want to lose a daughter as well.
I know you don't feel good in NUS and there's no one there who can understand how you feel. People there are comfortable and at peace with themselves. Even if they are not, they have already accepted facts. But you're different, you have something to look forward to, after being accepted and you know that this is what you want. So don't blame them for not understanding or wanting to understand. They just have a different outlook from you. You used to have very close networks in YJ and you expect the same. People to study with you, people to lunch with you. But nevertheless, you still need time to build such relationships. You cannot be impatient or think too much.
Qiqi, Mummy will still be here to talk to you. You are my only daughter and I love you more than anything else in the world. I know you have learnt what i taught you well and you are more mature than i hope you will be. Don't worry about your future anymore, just let it come to you.
I will always love you and keep you. Remember, you are never alone and will never be alone.
