Responsible Talk
I don't like people who don't take responsibility in their words. Total turn off.
Today, i had an arguement with my grandma. She brought up the fact that my mum's cousin (name ah hong) actually told her that my dad was infidel. In fact my grandma was so suayed by the fact that she even went to the extent of saying that my mum could have left my dad if not for me. And whatever that my dad does for the household is because he's guilty.
WTF?
so i was totally upset at that and went to bathe to calm myself down. When i came out, she just left and angrily said that she wants to catch the 11 am bus and that i'm too slow. To me, everything was like HUH? WHAT?
So i called my dad and told him what happened that morning. Actually is he called me but i ended up telling him everything. And he was upset at that fact that my mum's cousin ah hong went to tell my grandma this. After our conversation - at the point i was crying because i don't know what or who to believe anymore. It's like everyone is telling their owns stories. I asked my dad whether he really did love my mum and if my family was all a lie. Now thinking retrospectively, i kind of regret because after knowing that my dad was pure in his intentions, that kind of questioning is really hurting. However, at that time, i just had to know and hear it from it.
I went down to the hospital around an hour later so that my dad can speak to my grandma. After speaking to my grandma, my dad pulled me aside and told me what my grandma told him.
She said that Ah Hong told her that my dad have another woman outside a few months this happened. But the actual fact was that this happened:
My dad is a handyman who can repair just about anything that is electrical or plumbing works. So his friends and colleagues usually ask him to change the bulbs or do some simple re-wiring works. So one day, my dad's female colleague asked him to change a light bulb because her husband is overseas. Then my dad was kind enough to not reject her. So before fixing the light, they went for dinner. Then after dinner, they met my mum's cousin and my dad introduced them. Then after this incident, this female colleague told my dad that she's going to buy a 4room flat at holland and ask if he has any lobang. So just nice my dad's youngest bro has a flat that's 4 room and my dad offered to show her the place (with my xiao shu's consent of course).
he brought her to the house with my paternal grandma at home and showed her around for awhile. Then after that, bring her to his brother's chicken rice stall to eat. and my dad met my mum's cousin again. However, this whole situation is all very civil and even my uncle (dad's bro) didn't read too much into it.
i don't understand how 1 person can read so much into a situation AND spread vicious rumours that tarnishes my dad's reputation. This is my family and i hate people who want to tear us apart. Even if my dad did cheat on my mum, he is still my dad and he knows that he is in the wrong. That, to me, is already enough because regardless of what happened, they still love me and i'm grown up - it's not as if they need to be together just to make me happy. Why can't 2 best friends bring up their daughter?
But besides the point - this atrocity should not even exist. This woman, my mum's cousin, IS having an affair with a married man. Who is she to talk behind my dad like that the way she did.
To makes matters more infuriating, she and my uncle went down to my mum's working place to ask her ex-colleague what actually happened on the day she collapsed. I don't mind if it brings them some kind of peace, but seriously, don't they have the decency to inform the IMMEDIATE FAMILY?
just shows how much respect they give us huh.
idiots - the lot of them.
