(geology requires chemistry, physics and math.)
anyway, today my 2 students didn't turn up and it was quite bad....haiz, one of them didn't even give me an answer as to what happened. I got a feeling she's still sleeping.
before i knew that i was preparing water for them, and because the lukewarm water ran out, i had to put in hot water and then ice it down. i watched the ice melt and there were little bubbles that were escaping after being trapped in the ice for a while. I thought i was fun and went to touch the ice.
the ice, is HOT.
don't believe me? you go put hot water and then put ice, when it's melting you touch and see if it's NOT HOT. hahaha....actually there's a simple explanation to all this which i figured out later.
ice - absorb heat from hot water to overcome h-bonds - melting
how interesting right? day-to-day chemistry....
the more I read about the earth and its science, the more fascinated i become. the more I think about what I would have said in a geology class, the more depressed i become.
i should probably stop walking past the earth sciences shelf on level 7 at the lee kong chian library and focus on my law assignment.
NOT...muahahahaha
no la, i was reading something about atmo chemistry with regards to residence time of nitrogen molecules for my module. see? perfect legitimate reason to drop by.
okay, those are just excuses and we both know it. hurr~

i feel bad for not turning up, it makes me a betrayer to the "We'll be there for each other" phrase. all the original planners have had a hard time, maybe it's time for the rest of us to plan as well and not let the work lie on their shoulders alone.
I want to believe that forever exists between friendships. I know it does and although it isn't easy to come by. Hold on people...don't give up hope just yet...like another obstable, we all have to overcome it together. Remember? Rome wasn't built in a day.
it makes me appreciate things more too =)
