but thank goodness i asked one of my classmates *cough cough* to help me "protect" them before anyone gets to them. but nat had a point, what if the cleaning uncle thought they were junk?i hope my classmate wouldn't feel bad and then buy a new bag just because he couldn't make it to recover them.if that happens, I would feel worse.
but again to those cookies - how can my heart NOT bleed?!
@*#&(*#&$
the second thing onwards are all complaints. so the first complaint goes to my printer. yes, i've almost had it with the stupid device. it has a thing against printing draft in black ink. it's one thing that paper gets stuck between pages, so i end up having weirdly sorted pages, it's another for the printer to suddenly have a mind of it's own and decide to shut down halfway during the print process.
hello?! the owner here needs those notes?!
another complain is the downloading of the readings from the NUS workbin thingy. why can't the professors just name the files after the title? then students need not rename them again after downloading. so instead of "Global climate change chapt 3" as a title of the file, i have VNT_100. VNT isn't even the initials of the title of the subject of read.
bloody hell....to make things worse, i can't rename the file prior to download. I have to download the file in it's stupid-titled form and then rename it after i get it. If not, it'll fail to download. the worse inconvenience of all is that because of copyright laws, we can only press the download button once. if i screwed up, i have the send an email to the central library to reset the whole thing and wait for 24hrs THEN i can download agian.
if they are going to have this function at all, why bother restrict the download?
GRRRR....
TODAY, in remote sensing, the lecturer came in late and ended late. which makes me kinda late for my next lect which was conviently placed at the other end of NUS. on top of that, after listening about electromagnetic waves, the stefan-boltzmann law, Wien's Law and superimpositio in REMOTE SENSING (which i totally comprehend as to why....) i have to listen to another 2 hours of the same shit (pardon me, these laws are great discoveries, but i'm venting here, so it may not always be politically correct), i have to tolerate another hour or so in atmopheric processes. because solar radiation lies under that as well.
WHAT THE HELL?
my only consolation is that the 2nd hour kind of clarified things in the first 2 hours and the professor only took 1hr instead of the full two hours to explain the 3 equations.we should count our blessings right?
!(@#^!*@^%#*!^@#
and if going to school isn't already brain-draining ENOUGH....
the bus to NUS was bursting at the seams, i was standing on the steps, struggling to maintain my balance while the bus steered 30mins to the faculty.
the bus FROM NUS was ALSO bursting at the seams, but worse, because people apparently don't move in. So poor students like me are shoved at the steps, AGAIN, for another 30min ride OUT of NUS.
the bus TO home was AGAIN ALSO bursting at the seams. The 811 buses were usually the long ones, and during peak hours, they (who ever is responsible for this screw-up) thought it was a joke to send a "short" bus to attempt to absorb the long queue at the interchange. so some passengers like me had to balance, for the 3rd time on the steps.
did i mention that the opening and closing of the door almost hit me in all 3 incidences?
the world is going to the dogs....
i don't usually support complaints because they complain-ers don't come up with solutions. even if they do, they wouldn't try and make a difference anyway.
BUT, i'm breaking my own rule here....fine, the cookies were my fault.
what excuse does the rest of them have?
