hahahahah, i just realised that the office is so devoid of keyboard sounds that if i blog(which includes continuous typing), it will stick out like a scarecrow in the fields.
speaking of fields - i think pro-malthusians and meadowists(if there is such a term) have the run for their money. rice prices are rising and it is because to shortage. hahahahaha....geographers this year have some cool data to use for impressing the examiners.
anyway, like i told vann, i am currenltly sitting 10paces from the door. i guess it's really is a "so near yet so far" thing. like i'm technically free to walk in and out that door, but i'm not free to leave. hahahahaha.....nugget. and bad fengshui somemore lor, my back facing the door leh.
i realised i picked up a few quirks...i start listening to ppl's footsteps. like when i am sitting down, i identify ppl with their footsteps and know who it belongs to. hahahaha....okay, the outcome of immense boredom.

anyway, the real reason why i wanted to blog.
just this tues, i learned something called "learned helplessness".
disclaimer: not here to arrow ppl, just want to share what i've learnt.
learned helplessness is a type of psychological dependency where one party in a r/s (not only BG or BB or GG lovers out there) becomes overly dependent on the other.
here's a for instance,
if say u have a bf/gf and u are always the one who wait for him/her without saying anything. however, one day u are late and ur other partner starts throwing tantrums and making a fuss out of ur lateness.
then u ask urself.
for all the times "i" wait for, "you" can't even wait for me once?
ladies and gentlemen, before we play the blaming game, let's revisit the issue.
because we love them and don't want to make a fuss out of a small issue such as lateness, the other party actually comes to LEARN in time to expect that same treatment from you. so there is such a tacit agreement that you are SUPPOSED to wait for him/her.....
yeah, my lecturer said that alot of couples face this kind of friction especially after a while - say a few years into their marriage.
so rule of thumb - set the record straight in the first place. if you are already muddled in this, well...the only solution i can think of is grin and bear it.
BUT - that is not why i wrote this. my lecturer echoed my thoughts on this issue which i harbored long ago. to know where the problem comes from will help us make better friends. i dunno, my wish is that my readers will have sympathy on those on the receiving end and tacitly revert the agreement from buyer-seller to something mutual.
maybe it's time to start to take over the planning of a gathering for once.=) love you all!
