nice...my uncle's wedding date, in case you haven't realised was 18 01 2008....hahaha...all 8s yah?
anyway, i didn't attend the ceremony in the morning because partly i can't. i'm from the groom side plus i'm the most junior there. hahahaha....not very polite to the bride lah. but in any case, i went down to ntuc income to apply for a temporary position and see if they'll call me any time soon.
i really hope it's "soon" and not "any time".
so in that case, i went to conrad contennial hotel by my own. but before that i detoured and went to suntec (since it's only opposite and all) to get myself a cup of latte and bread. the bread was easy, but the latte....like what the hell? where's coffee bean?so i settled for mac's instead. haiz...dampen my mood for that like 15 minutes of aimlessly walking in suntec trying to find coffee bean but i keep landing up with starbucks.
anyway...around 3 plus was my cinderalla moment~ went to try out the shower at the ambassador suite since it's my uncle's room and all...hahahaha...i go and try the branded toiletries they had in the bath and it's really branded. the shower is all gelly and it's there's no foam - kinda dashed my expectations of the really foamy bath that i always look forward in hotels.
damn....didn't get to try the bath tub...okay, what am i talking about? it's a wedding, not a shower party...-.-"
so yah, had my make up done in an hr and my hair done an hour after that. so kinda missed the solemnizaton. wah seh, my aunt scold my mum say why make people wait for her...hahahahaha, so funny right? my mum's the eldest and my aunt's the youngest. call it role reversal.
i don't have many pictures in my camera because my parents came later after me. plus my uncle had a photographer (who was super nice...hahahaha, i keep seeing him around - maybe i'm paranoid) so i guess the real pretty pictures would have to come in later?hahahaha...meanwhile just settle with my amatuer ones?
anyway, we're on the 26th floor, and we had quite a good view of everything, it's pretty cool to be able to capture the sunset on the singapore sky line...hahahaha
oh yah, did i mention that the conrad staff service is superb? it's damn good can? i entered the hotel and there's this guy who came forward and asked me if i needed help and he actually went all the way until i reached my uncle's suits (you've gotta get this key to work the elevators, so yah...kinda complicated). later while i was waiting for my uncle in the lobby, there's this bell man who came up and asked if i needed help, made some small talk etc. and then 30 seconds later there's this service guy who came over and asked "how's yuor day miss? you've got a beautiful dress there." and another lady approached right after him and asked "how may i assist?" lolz....
i'm kinda entertained in the lobby...plus, i realised that the hotel staff remember the guests because they actually address them according to their names like for example in the lift "mr johnson, i believe you're staying at the 10th floor? (reaches over the press the floor) so how do you find Singapore...etc"
that, i strongly believe, is 5 star service. hahahaha...okay, with a 500 per night price tag on my uncle's suite, i think it's worth it. did i mention that the fruit basket they brought up looked positively delicious?
okay, so much for talk...here are the meager pictures i managed to take...hahaha

looks so heavenly right? can you see like the sky scrapers flanking on the side which frames the sunset so beautifully?
aww~
damn....blogger's down...so i can only like upload one pic.
i'll be back in the evening to try again k?
