oh man.....tried really hard not to cry on friday, really because when one cries, it's going to be a chain reaction.luckily i was sitting on the side far from their view, if not they would have seen some water round my eyes...haiz...school's over, and should i say i miss it?yes and no. i don't miss the exams and all those stuff but i do miss YJ, 222, the canteen vendors and those weird but really fun "race to aminah's class" - those time are unforgettable.
when i was singing the national anthem, i realised that this is the last time i'll ever get to sing it as a school - the audi was especially loud for the school song though...

graduation started out with the video of YJC's path over 20 years...hahaha, last time and now the school building didn't change any bit. with some exceptions.
when mr syn said ,"i'm glad to be back in YJC" on the video, those words rang true...indeed how nice to be back to your fond memories.
i'm sure many of us had some moments with graduation...but i guess the best graduation i had was in YJ?because after realising how much has passed, you can only awe and realise that 2 years pass so fast...and that you'll be missing your friends more than anything else.
BUT! it;'s not the end because as long as friendships remain strong, i'm sure there're still fires to rekindle upon....
___so on to the less emo stuff_______________________________________
after graduation, rushed home to change and bathe to meet darren and chris to go pasir ris park for cycling.nico and jon were supposed to meet us, but they had something on last minute so left the 3 of us.
-halt, i know why you're wondering i never go with my class for an outing. well...it's like this, i promised them that i'll meet them next friday (actually, it's EVERY friday)to celebrate promos...so yah, that's how it goes, i cannot choose between the 2, so it's more of ride-the-tide kinda thing and go with the plans -
oh yah...hahahaha, chris actually had to meet his class people, when he said that, a mischievous thought crossed my mind. but what the hey...whacked him into this senses of what might be implied if he pang seh us...so the plan was to go post-dinner activities with his classmates.
yupz, so we went for lunch and waited for chris to get this new atm card while darren showed me some really cool videos on his psp...(i'm still awed by the graphics can?) so after that we headed off to the bus stop to take bus 39 and while in the bus, it started to rain really bad....certain parts on the expressway was like totally dry, but certain parts were like flooded....weird freaky weather!
then darren and i betted if pasir ris is raining or not....(if i won, i would have a movie ticket, if he won, i'll treat him a drink)then while talking on the bus, we missed our stop, partly due to darren's poor eyesight because he refused to wear his specs. so ended up stranded in the rain on another bus stop which is pretty far from where we are supposed to alight. we stoned for about 15mins for the rain to lighten up and viola...we're on our way to pasir ris park!
anyway, for nico and jon's sake, we reached there quite late le, around 4 plus...so we walked from one end to another end of the park to rent the bikes. a double and a single...hahahaha
yupz...so since chris just learnt and is not very confident of picking up a 60kg potato sack, the honourable job was left to darren...lolz...after cycling to the end, we parked our bikes and sat on the sea wall to rest our bums. heez...saw some uncles stepping on the mud at low tide to pick up mussels. then chris and i stoned for a while before both of them suggested that it was time for something innocent to be done.
that i better start doing what i came here for.
which is to ride a damn bicycle.
yeah....off to a really shaky start, with loads of coaching from the both of them (then chris gave up after 5 mins) with the 3 mantras that are still playing in my head - courtesy of darren - "leg on the upper thrust", "velocity is balance" and the much needed "USE YOUR BREAKS!"
lolz....after learning for so long, i finally figured out why there's always a string of accidents left behind...because nobody told me to use my breaks and nobody told me to pedal faster to get balance.
hahahahaaha.........oh well. i didn't manage to learn in time because apparently, we had to return the bikes soon...yeah, so i only managed to get the feel of how it's like to move unassisted but i didn't really do any solo cycling....[winks to nat, xinyi, vann, darren and chris]
off to the back of the double bike with darren...and we headed back to downtown east >.<"
(p.s chris decided not to meet his friends afterall...i feel guilty and happy at the same time...hope 121 will spare him)

we ate at subway, also my first time, and chatted about random stuff...."time flies when you're having fun" and true enough, it was already 11:30pm when we left subway...
on the bus, got a call from my mum and a scolding from my dad for not telling them where i was. (because i only told them half a truth - which is, i'm going out for dinner and i'll be late. conveniently forgetting to tell them it was pasir ris park that i'm going and i'll be 12am-late)
but i don't care really....(it's 18 for god's sakes)because i know they care for me, and it's nice to know that......furthermore, i had fun despite the butt pain and the many grease smear marks on my calf. the 2 guys were right. i do need to get a life - get out more often and do more stuff.
it's not the activity, but rather the people that you're with.
it's not the graduation, it's the people you're graduating with.
october the 12th was the best day of my life....because i never felt intense sadness and intense joy in the same day. indeed, i'll always be smiling into my pillow those wonderful memories that you have given me.
