Hello 18~
yay!!this year's birthday is even better....hahahaha, at least i get to spend time with my friends, which i've always wanted to do ever since what happened in sec sch...it gives me a sense of identiy and belonging that somehow, i still feel wanted and loved, and can still love, the people around me.
okay, so the birthday rendevous started on fri, where after chem i wanted for nicolette and jon, chris and darren to go dinner at orchard...so yah, i was chased out of k303 by the ms talented teacher of the year (who can't, in my opinion, sing) and so scrambled out to the library basement where nicolette joined in later.
hahahaha.....oh yah, kris, van and xinyi gave me a fantabulous birthday present. it's like i a mannequin doll to hang earrings and stuff you know?yah....it's in romantic purple and the dress was totally glam, just the way i like it =) and know what? they actually remembered me saying ," wah, i've always liked this, if someone can give me as a birthday present..." and i said this like 6months ago? those sweet sweet gals still remember....*muaks* love ya! kris, van and xinyi!
so fri's dinner was really funny, hahahaha.....almost every sentence was like a joke, laugh until my ab muscles ache. i think that 2 hrs was more tiring than 20 crunches.and so we ordered dim sum and toastbox (which i have never tried before) and the tutu-kueh that nicolette and jon bought just brought back those long-forgotten childhood memories where mummy lucy would buy them for me to eat when i was very young.besides the aircon vent just 50cm above my head, otherwise it was perfect...hahaha, even shared my fav mutton briyani with chris cuz we can't finish everything...darren on the other hand cleaned the whole plate by himself.
so after that the girls (nicolette and me) when shopping around wisma to look for shoes and clothes...we went into daniel yam to check out some prom dresses, the guys entertained themselves outside so that went on for a few shops. so later we went to topshop and this time the guys followed us in. we just passed by the first rack of clothes and from behind i could hear darren say, "shit, this thing is hundred bucks!"...so both nicolette and i were diao-ed and walked abit faster. then shortly afterward, he said, "woah....sexy...." and then that was it, we snapped and walked as fast as we can to pretend that we didn't know them at all...lolz~shopping with guys is such a erm....different experience

today had piano at 11pm and around 10 it started to rain really bad. while i was walking the short distance to the bus-stop, my whole jeans was soaking wet even with an umbrella. apparently the rain found its way INTO the umbrella...goodness, and my tighs were freezing cold in the aircon bus...
when i reached my teacher's house, i used her hair dryer to salvage whatever ounch of dryness i could get hold off and in the process, burned the fuse in her (ancient) dryer...opps!
after piano, went to meet xinyi and van to go shop for shoes. after walking from centrepoint to wisma, and then on the far east, i finally found a pair of pumps that i like...cute and elegant in design, just the right height and the right shade of brown. also not to mention the front is slightly pointed and not too round! yeah....and the best thing was because xinyi bought another pair in the same shop, we had a discount so each of us only paid 20bucks....hahaha, used the extra money to get some arch support because my arch is quite weak after wearing flats(literally) for so long.
yupz, so at night my dad brought my family and grandma to york hotel to eat the penang food fair buffet. at first i didn't like it when i reached there because it's like your birthday and you're supposed to enjoy what you eat right? but later, it was pleasantly surprising that the food there is really nice...hahaha, especially the ngoh hiangs, bee chiang kueh and fried oyster with egg. and not being a prawn noodle fan, i had 2 small bowls of prawn noodles!the soup is damn nice although a little spicy.
yeah!, so that pretty much wraps up my birthday, because tml on the 16th of sept, which is my birthday actually, i have to finish gp, and brush up on chem and a whole lot of things, so yah....my birthday is not really my birthday when you have work.
as i've told xinyi...you don't need to have a birthday be happy and spend time with friends, you can always do that when you have the mood, time and just as important, money.
