Goodbye~!
Goodbye~!
although i don't like goodbyes....but this one heck of a goodbye i'm willing to say adios to....muahahahaha
The Last Ever Blocktest
that i'm going to take......*throws sparkles*lights fireworks*pops grafitti*
never in my life will i receive another schedule that says:
Term X Block Test Schedule
Rejoice!!!well at least for a few people like Huishan, beryl and yvonne.....
haiz.....well, looking on the down side, school is starting and that actually means that we have to stay up late until 6pm everyday except fridays....
but first things first, i can go out tml! been looking forward to go do some quality research on geog, i mean it's about time that i visited the NATlibrary to fill in some blanks on my notes. oh yah....dear geog-ers, if you all want my notes can just ask me okay, no need paiseh one...
anyway, had, at best, a 'brain-stimulating' ("oh...wait, that question is a little tricky"), or at worse, a 'mind-boggling' ("Shit ****, ******* what kinda question is this? Next!") chem paper today....took like .500hrs to finish 15MCQs and 1.500hrs to finish 1 question....goodness me
but whatever scenerio, i'm glad i got back my math results...although it's a little disappointing because i knew i could have done better if i hadn't semi-blanked out that day and the day before i couldn't get anything in. haiz....but things are already over, it's okay not to reach your goals this time, but slowly and surely we'll all get there.
to nat: i know it sucks not to do well everytime, but i think you've done your best in geog despite all the trainings and stuff you have now....i really really really feel you will get better marks this time...have faith yah?
anyway.....i don't want to go on about results and all because it's pretty sensitive. although this is my blog and i can write whatever i want here, but people read it and their feelings matter.
so.............we shall focus on the more positive things okay?
claudia's guide to how NOT to fail.
----preparation
-Get moving
-Grab a study partner that doesn't talk too much during studying
-allocate time (not everyday lah) for study
----getting ready
1) Mark on your calender NOW, the prelim dates 15th - 24th aug
2) List down your study break 5th to 14th aug
3) Start packing your notes and get them organised
4) Draw a mindmap on say, processes of weathering, or whatever kind of notes that make you comfortabl one every 2 days
5) Summarise any long-winded readings and extract enough examples. for science subjects, do more prelim questions with your notes one every 4 days
-----at this point, these methods are tried and tested tt prove tt you can already pass----
6) Start revising definitions, especially sciences and econs
7) start on mock papers and time yourself
8) check your answers and queries with friends or teachers
9) organise your thoughts and know where your strength in the subject lie
10) repeat step 4 and 5 to strengthen you weaknesses)
step 6 to 10 is what i'm currently doing for blocks. so if it works out maybe you can try it too!
this is not meant to follow strictly, but anyway, the important thing is to get moving and don't think that you still have time because truly, there is no more time to idle...if you want to take a break. this week is the only break left. the next break will be your september holidays.
i love to make weekends free so i can reward myself with wahtever i want. so why not relax on weekends and work hard on weekdays?i'm not asking that yuo follow strictly, but you get the idea right? just find some day in the week in which you can re-charge. some people might be free on weekdays and not weekends...whatever that suits yuor lifestyle.
JIA YOU everybody....for those whose oil tanks are over-flowing, just continue to keep those engine running! anyway, the future is really up to you....just for a few months you might just land your butt in a nicer armchair and yourself in a nicer office. just picture yourself counting money in your office rather than counting the number of admin work you still have to do.
my only motivation is not to land myself in the latter....that kind of image is scary enough. just a few more months and it's over.....don't let a better life slip away.
