it's a lame title.
and i'm seriously running out of titles already......hahaha made it an effort not to repeat titles
so anyway, today on my way home, i talked to huishan about martial arts and some nat geo show i watched yesterday....yah, realised i haven't talk to her for very long already....hmmm
anyway....have you ever considered the weight of money in your pocket?
no? yes?right, it's not the physical weight i'm talking about....
i've considered the weight of 10,000 cents in my pocket today. how fast i spend it off....money buys things. that fact is not arguable.
but perhaps many times, we take for granted the things we buy.
until today, i've never considered that money buys satisfaction. however, temporal that satisfaction may be, it is still bought using money. perhaps, if i put it in another light. you walk into a boutique and you see a dress (a red one) and you try it on, it fits you like a glove. you look at the price tag - $59.95, hmm.....not too bad.quite affordable so you don't hesistate to draw out that credit card....after paying, the cashier puts it in a really glam bag and you walk off.
Now stop.
what do you feel? a sense of fulfillment? does satisfaction fit?
i don't know about you, but i feel overwhelmed when i carry alot of cash with me. hell....that debit card i carry weighs a ton. it's $XXX worth of weight.
maybe because of that kinda weight, many times i feel inclined to help myself ease off that weight. that psychological weight of carring so much cash (psst....robbers you know)...so to do that, the most straightforward thing to do is to exchange it for goods.
yeah, so after the day of shopping, your hands are full, and your pockets are empty...but your heart is warm.
no wonder women love shopping.
i think it's some sort of a psychological phenomenon in human beings....hey...any behavioural psychologists here?

maybe we all feel inclined to exchange something for something in return.i used to deny the fact that i'm giving for nothing in return.
but now, it's time to come to terms with myself, that i'm giving in HOPE of something in return. like you give money to a street beggar wishing for appreciation in return. if you know that the beggar does not appreciate your donations, would u still want to give?
many times, our satisfaction does not meet. but perhaps it's because we expect too much.we pay peanuts to see monkeys.....
buy forgiveness, with time
buy trust, with time
buy life with love....

btw, the receipt you get from spending too much of anything, money or time, is guilt.
