In praise of Small eyes
In Praise of Small Eyes
lolz, no pun intended....but really, i've been wanting to write about this entry for a long time now.
perhaps it because some of us are blessed with big eyes, medium eyes, not-so-small eyes. yet, it is a blessing, and also a curse. because those big-eyed friends are doomed with eyebags.....everything in the world is fair from another point of view.....
so many of us are consumed by beauty. the idea of it really - like money. beauty in itself does not hurt, but the idea of it does. it consumes so many of us asians. don't believe? in south korea, it is normal to go for plastic surgery to widen those asian-like eyes to be westernized "doe-eyed". i mean get real already?
hollywood has shown us that to be successful and pretty, you should have a skinny figure. recently i went to kinokuniya to buy some books and i fell upon a title of a fiction work which says "Size 12 is NOT fat".what does that imply?
lolz, i don't even want to admit what size i'm wearing if that is the case.
not really, don't you think small eyes girls are pretty?(i really don't want to sound lesbian here)
it's like so so ethical. small eyes good leh, no eyebags, no eye shadow that is the size of moons. which = to no need to spend large amounts of money on SKII products.....
oh yah, talking about SKII, i can't believe the idea of going fair also. what is wrong with the world....oh man, if you're dark-skinned, or yellow-skinned or red-skinned. you're ultimately stupid....lolz, how many of us think that way? that time i rememberd in geog class that yin xia was talking about being in london and those londoners were saying mean things to her just because of her skin colour.
*shakes the reader* wake up! wake up! how many europeans are there in europe? plus it's ageing population and all? and compare that to India alone.....if it's not a matter of numbers, then please tell me if it's a matter of your sick sick mind.
why do i say sick? there are some white-skinned people who want to be tanned and spend hours at end to sit under the sun. whereas on the other hand, we asians are spending money on whitening products FROM the white-skinned people.....where is common sense nowadays....
haiz, it's all about beauty. to look good on first impression. We are becoming a uniform race here....(let me make a generalized statement for the heck of it okay?)....the whites wanting to be dark, and the dark wanting to be white. but most it's the blacks wanting to be white.
thanks to the influence of media and everything, everyone now wants to be a winner (big cars, big houses, big boobs etc etc). it's instinctive and there's nothing wrong with that. but sometimes we have to compete with our own comparitive advantage. there's no use trying to be someone or something just so that you're on EVEN ground. lolz, hell, you'll probably lose more than you gain you get what i mean?
In praise of small eyes,
In praise of yellow skin,
In praise of black hair,
And everything else that you see....
so i strongly urge those who have small eyes, short-storky build, single-eyelid,small hands, slightly plump girls to accept who you are. people would tell me to "get real" and look at the world. no one would hire a fat worker....no of course not, because even i wouldn't BUT, if i could have my way. it is not correct to do so. if you are slightly obese to extremely obese. you're cute you know, look at khairu and jialiang and mustafa....they're so cool can? but i worry for their heart. because if they have such great personalities, surely they rest of us don't want them to die so soon....? THAT - is what i call inner beauty. to exercise not to build muscles, but to build long health~
Many times, i see "media-concieved" beauties live The Life. But when i think about it spiritually, we're all the same - and no amount of plastic surgery can "correct" our imperfect soul.
