hmmm, i was thinking of this topic ever since the last last last gp lesson.....hahaha marraige
so hypothetically (kris's fav pw word)....
if we all were to find our hubbies and honeys....then where do marriage come in>
think about it bah, if you love each other, then where's the incentive to get married? i mean if you do love each other then you would stay together anyway right? why spend money, time and efford trying to tell the whole world you're an in item and to register for a certificate to prove that you're an item?
marraige is a tradition with it's rituals and all constructed since the early times. hell, do you know when marriage is INVENTED? (no idea? me too...... >.<")
so then the point is, did our ancestors already know something we don't, or refuse to acknowledge since it's hardly talked about?
everyone know love fades, but hardly anyone acknowledges the fact.....because perhaps either lover don't want to realize that one day, they might have to face the idea of "blandness" in their relationship. i haven't been dated before.....not been in love before~ but it's just an objective point of view on this issue.
so marraige was "invented" because it's like a bond, or contract with each other so one will commit to another no matter what happens-even when love fades. so interestingly, human beings are the world's most insecure animals....hahahaha
*shakes head nonchantly* it makes sense, no? why do we need to stay committed? because we love each other, then why marry? because we're afraid that our feelings for each will fade....it's a beautiful entrapment that our ancestors have fundamentalised for us....simple and beautiful
and that in the marraige itself, we don't forget why we were together in the first place and that we bonded, consummated the marraige for a reason and for forevermore.
it would be sad and unjust for either party to betray their vows to stay commited together. it's like seeing a beautiful disney fairytale story come apart. (imagine Prince Phillipe betray Sleeping beauty and sleeps with Cinderella)
don't go back on your vows, because one day you will need them to brave through the toughest of the storms......
