don't underestimate the power of the individual....

it's about month to promos.and no, i'm not being kiasu by preparing now....come to think of it, if don't prepare now, then when? if not you, then who?

i read that very haunting statement from dan brown's book. although it use of the sentence in that particular context was warped, but it applies to many of us. the times we procrastinate and spend time wasting time....it hit one day that our class actually are full of smart people. i mean really....look at it this way

Huishan knows everything, her chinese is powerful la...i mean she can easily be the chinese tutor of our class, and i know that she can be determined when she wants to , but also give up when she wants to....

then next comes her best friend grace. no joke man, grace understands concepts easily la. even though teacher never recap she also can retain the information inside, and truthfully, not all of us can do that....

then comes nat, who everytime blur blur~ one but actually can sort information in her brain really well and not to mention she's extremely merticulous la....makes sure she studies everything before a test so much so that she cannot finish studying in time...haha.....work hard on speed girl!!!

then the ever logical kristelle who always finds the black and white in things. it's a great tool when it comes to science. not only that, i feel that krist has a gift of motivating people. some people's motivation sounds damn empty like mine, but her motivations motivate you know...hahaha

so next is xinyi, who is ever patient and must i say, great in chem and maths. her greatest strength is being prudent. that alone gets people very far. to be humble and prudent is most important - the very aspects that i must learn from her.

then her best friend van who can seem so blur at times also actually builds up to alot. some people help others academically, some others help spiritually, yet another type help by just being there. not in the bad sense of the way, but rather keeping the motion going. it's hard to explain but we all feel it.....

so later minyi comes along and makes everything seem so trivial. from what i can see, she can teach well, which means she learns well also. there's some sort of a link between teaching and learning i guess. but her major flaw would be to give up in a huff....push on, sometimes the pot of gold is just beyond the horizon

then aisha who's very quiet in her studies. but after what i heard from nat, actually she's pretty hardworking.it somtimes shows that working just as hard can make up for the losses...although she's not from first 3 months, but i believe hardwork can push her far....don't lose heart.

and beryl~! the reasonable and often cool-headed one. her sense of urgency already puts her ahead of others. sometimes the key towards success is all in the timing. she's ever-ready and sees things with others don't often notice. valuable insight and her momentum keeps people around her going.

and then the guys

baqi...who's smile charmed us all when we first met him, but then there's something deep inside that no one notice. he maybe the only person in class which i do not know about, but from nat, i believe he's systematic and quite merticulous....good trait

then jeremy, if huishan was good in chinese, then jeremy is the exact opposite. although he doesnt flaunt it, but his english has some sort of a flair in it that makes it uniquely his. it's not an exaggeration, the words he uses are just "wow"....hahaha....score for gp!!

then jia liang who is somehow like xiniy, prudent and modest...they are both good in chem and maths. it just strike me that he's the self-study type and things will just fall into place if he tries hard enough...enthu!!

jia hao is damn good in econs la...no doubt about it. hahaha.....sometimes his crap in class really livens up the mood....although i don;t know him well, but from maths sharing and geog, he's quite consistent...yah....i think teachers look up to that....

then there's jie ji, who's endless questions puts grease into our brain-gear. it's not a bad thing that he asks questions. really, it's people like him that keeps us reminded of our problems and to put an alarm on the concerns we didn't dare to ask or know.

so ismail is always hardworking, but sometimes to the extent that toning down a little would do more good. really, if i have to rate, he's the most hardworking soul here in 122....but there are times when a little of sharing, understanding and relaxing can go a long way....take a bloody break for once will ya?

silent adrian who is indenialbly good in geog. hahah....although i don't see him most of the time, but that short period of time when mugging last min for geog, could see that he knows his stuff well....
