An avid collector of your hopes and worries, a romantic at heart.
She thanks her fairies, for blessing her with people who know compassion down to an art.
For accepting her for who she is, who never fails to turn up,
in times of need as well as happiness, or just there for a loving hug.

the functional mind
after revising for business yesterday, it struck me that actually, we very much model the things we see, learn, do and hear after ourselves....
if i were a firm, then the various departments that make up my organs would be Manufacturing (reproductive organs), logistics(feet), maintenance(liver and kidneys), transportation(heart) and lastly the people to manage the various departments - the very foundations of a firm.
but some of us require other departments as well to fufill our lives.
some of us need a human resource deparment. you know why? because there are people who live in recluse, or are obstracized by the rest...if they could, they would want to employ friends...and they need a human resource department to do that.
in the same context, there are some of us (in fact many) that require a public relations department. because we tend to say things that blow ppl's mind (in the bad way) and then create "scandals" (gossips) and "cover-page stories"(your friends leaving you and your world just come crashing down) just because of a wrong sentence...
but there are some others who require a R&D department. because some of us when asked to come up with a new idea, they simply draw a blank, they find it extremely difficult to voice their views and make them into fantastic ideas. pity...
also, there are others who need a finance department(i think many of us need that!). there are some people who always go over-budget and can't seem to handle any of our finances well....
and of course, everyone of us need a customer service and sales deparment. always wanting our "product"/"service" to be accepted by others, then when your demand becomes inelastic and everyone is willing and able to "pay" you, wouldn't that be good? some of us have this department, and the department manager furiously try ways and means to please the "customers" and the employees think hard and long for ways to differentiate their "products"/"services", making it even more inelastic as it is.....
the according to the product life-cycle, everyone of us have to decline one way of another. it's the matter of time....i wonder, how much time would it take for my "customer" to find another substitute and then eventually, my "firm" has to shut down because the variable costs are seemingly too overwhelming...??
ask yourself...................
